As the Tide Ebbs

Late one night, a stranger with a bag of weed and beer knocks on a rundown council house door in Belfast well known as an after hours drinking den open to all.

Fuzzy the owner and his mate Shasu invite him in, but as the night passes and stories of buried lives, lost loves, regrets and dark deeds are told, the true reason for his visit is revealed.

There is much political debate today about truth and how we as a society deal with the legacy of our recent past, but as this play examines, truth is much more than facts, truth is personal.

As in his recent writing, ('The Holy Holy Bus' and 'Man in the Moon'), Pearse Elliott has once again skilfully woven together a witty combination of razor sharp humour and social commentary.
